Off-Balance

I think I can balance on one foot...
Then again, I have fallen before and know I will once more.
Failure stacks until stability feels like an illusion.
Propaganda pushed by a workaholic overlord only covering his ass.
But scavenged from this pile of doubt are the very chains that anchor me to reality.
I stand on the precipice with one foot dangling over the edge.
While I fear the fall, I can't help but dream of flying.
